Insurance claim forms — template setup help

Trying to set up templates for ACORD claim forms and having some trouble. The forms have a standard layout but the data positioning varies slightly between versions (ACORD 25, 28, 35, etc.).

I created one template for the ACORD 25 and it works perfectly on that specific form. But when I try to use it on an ACORD 28, the field mappings are off.

Do I need a separate template for each form version? Or is there a way to create a more flexible template that handles variations?

Not insurance but legal — we had the same issue with different contract formats. What worked for us was creating a ‘family’ of templates with shared field names but different layouts. The parser can auto-select the right template based on the document structure.

Anchor fields are your friend here. You define a few text strings unique to each form version, and the parser uses those to identify which template variant to apply.
