Saved our client 400 hours/month with Qomplement automation

Just wrapped up a project where we automated document processing for a private equity client doing due diligence across 15+ portfolio companies.

Before: 3 analysts spending ~130 hours/month EACH manually extracting data from financial statements, contracts, and regulatory filings.

After: Qomplement processes 90% of documents automatically. Analysts now spend ~15 hours/month on review and edge cases.

Numbers:

  • 2,000+ documents/month processed
  • 92% extraction accuracy (no human touch needed)
  • 400+ analyst hours saved per month
  • ROI: paid for itself in 2 weeks

The setup took about 3 weeks including template design and integration with their existing systems. Biggest challenge was handling the variety of financial statement formats across different companies, but once we had 8-10 templates covering the main formats, the long tail was manageable.

Happy to answer questions about the implementation.

Those numbers are impressive. What was the accuracy like for the remaining 8% that needed human review? Was it partially correct or completely wrong?

Good question. The 8% breaks down roughly:

  • 5% partially correct (got most fields but missed or misread 1-2)
  • 2% low confidence flagged for review (usually poor scan quality)
  • 1% wrong template applied (rare edge case formats)

So even the “failures” were mostly close — just needed a quick human check.
